Texture Upgrades

Submitted by cody on Wed, 01/16/2008 - 03:02.Ok, the GUI is in the repo. They are all png files, and are all 1024x768. Each button and the pause screen are separate images and are in the correct place on the 1024x768 image. Let me know of any changes I should make. [I rounded out the bottom boxes for ya already]. Unless it is necessary, I am going to skip cursors for now and move right on to sounds. Btw, what format do they need to be in? .wav? .wma? Let me know. Peace.

Flat land 1st edition PLESE TEST

- Polluter's Research Facility
- Polluter's Mining Structure and/or Oil Drilling Structure
- Planeteer's Solar Panel Grouping / Structure
- Planeteer's Windmill Grouping / Structure
These structures and what I have already done are what I plan to have complete for round one. And, or course, the terrain itself. This leaves time for building animations, explosions, and sound that I would also like to have in round one.
By the way, the terrain is looking good, and I should have a draft up on the Repo tonight. I used some new modeling and texturing techniques with this one, so I would like it if you guys could make sure it looks good in the engine before I go futher. Attached is a screen shot.

Big SVN Update
Submitted by cody on Sat, 12/22/2007 - 03:53.Okay, lots of new stuff in the environment repo. Some had export errors about the textures not being able to be embedded, in which case I included the texture in the corresponding folder. Included in the update; Biodome, bad guy biodomes, planeteer research facility number one, and both team's power units. Enjoy, let me know of any problems. I hope they look good in engine. Let me know. Also, land should be done in the next week and a half two weeks max. This timeframe a problem?

Reseach Grant Proposal

We are creating a real time strategy game for Microsoft’s 2008 Imagine cup. The theme of this year’s competition is “Imagine a world where technology enables a sustainable environment”. Our team consists of Cody Wright of Kinetic Imaging, Matt Taylor of Communication Arts, and Francis Yaconiello and Chris Bradford from the Scxhhool of buisnass Information Systems department.
